[ the most comfortable ]
i’d like to think i look this put together while lounging around.
[ head to toe ]
i’ve been seeing matching two piece sets everywhere… or maybe i’m just noticing them more than in the past. i like that the top + bottom can be worn together or mix + matched with other pieces in your wardrobe.
i adore the swooping look these updos have. the middle hair style is my absolute favorite- sleek, smooth + unique.
michael kors laptop case for my macbook air, jill stuart floral peplum tank, lafayette 481 striped tunic. getting ready for the spring weather! i cannot wait for some sunshine + 40-50 degree temperatures. such a departure from my usual black, white, beige day-to-day dress code.
birthday makeup from the other day. it also happened to be my arbonne recognition event so i did some fun eye makeup. the blue color is gorgeous! i wish this eye palette were still available.
love messy, huge, crazy braids. i’m not the greatest at doing it in my own hair but, when i go to the hair salon i don’t think to ask for it to be styled in a braid! my birthday is tomorrow. maybe i’ll go get it done tomorrow for my birthday. i’m so sick of my typical down + curled. i want something different!
at the very least this will be a look i use a lot during the summer. i plan on growing my hair out until at least after my honeymoon in august so, by that time my hair will probably have grown to around my waist. being able to put it back into a braid will be easy + it will be something other than just a ponytail or bun.
usually i don’t wear perfume but, a few weeks ago i went into sephora to check out the perfume / fragrance they had and came across tocca. i fell in love with “florence” + decided that i would purchase it for myself for my birthday.
top notes: italian bergamot, grapefruit leaves, green pear, apple
middle notes: ivory gardenia, crushed violet petals, jasmine, tuberose, blue iris
bottom notes: blonde wood, white musk
[ printed pant ]
i’m a black / white / neutral kind of girl. that being said, i really love that bold prints are on trend right now. i haven’t ventured out and purchased anything myself. i will probably keep it “safe” and buy a bold printed dress however i really love printed pants! i’m not sure i could pull them off but, i have a few months of winter weather to decide.
HOME INSPIRATION #10
zachary + i can’t decide if we want to get a leather couch or not. i love when leather couches have that worn in, used look. a year or two back we had looked in restoration hardware + found the most amazing, lived in couch. it was soft + comfy - i would have gladly put that in our livingroom!
we still have some time before we have to make decor decisions— lots of renovating to do before that happens!
[ la perla ]
strangely, one of the things i am looking forward to purchasing when i become an NVP is la perla.
la perla is an italian clothing company that specializes in lingerie. it’s pretty expensive but, so worth it. one or two of the wardrobe stylists i’ve worked with in NY on photo shoots have used a couple pieces. so soft and well made. victoria’s secret isn’t even the same category.
the company makes some really unique things. i’m sure you’re thinking “how unique can a bra get”. i encourage you to look at their website.
[ gold leaf ]
i really love gold (my wedding dress was a gold/copper gown from reem acra). i think its such a beautiful, rich color. i feel like its something that can be worn all year round… black / navy in the fall winter. cream or white in the spring / summer.
bright red on a dreary winter day
kept my makeup simple. foundation, concealer, mascara, bronzer, lipstick. www.arbonne.com ID #13235245 to buy!
[ denim + skirts… ]
…but not a denim skirt. another outfit i may try for GTC in may. really cute for the spring.
